Choosing the right school for your child is a life changing decision. Although many things can be conveyed with photos, video and print, the only way to truly understand what a school is like is to visit in person. This will give you the opportunity to connect to the heart of our organization, experience the commitment of our staff and see our campus. Tours can be coordinated around your schedule.

You will be able to see first-hand our student life, staff commitment and campus. After the tour you may proceed to the application process and set your child up for a world class education.

Applications for the 2024-2025 school year will open on November 15. At this time, you will be able to fill out and submit your online application for your student(s). Student fee and admission fee will need to be submitted in order to secure your student(s) spot.

Forms and documentations

The next step in the application process is to submit the following forms/documents to our admissions department.

  • Copy of Birth Certificate
  • Copy of Immunization Record (up to date)
  • Teacher recommendation form
  • Transcripts

Student Assessment and family interview:

All students applying for our current or upcoming school year; a readiness assessment is required. Payment is required prior to testing date. Our school administration will reach out to schedule.

After the readiness assessment is completed, you will then have a family interview. This is the time for the student and parents/guardians to meet with our Director. This is a great opportunity to learn more about our school as well as your family.

Admissions:

After the online application is submitted, all forms and documents have been sent in and the student readiness assessment/family interview has been competed, our admissions department will review your file. A final decision will be made to accept your family.

We strongly encourage all interested families to begin the admissions process for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year in November 2023. Regular decisions for K-12 will be sent within 1 month of completion of our admission steps. 1st dues will be due January 15th, 2024. Please plan to complete the entire admissions process as soon as possible as spaces to fill up.

Important dates to remember when starting your child’s enrollment process

  • Re-enrollment for the 24/25 school year for returning families opens on 11/16/23 and ends on 11/30/23

  • Open enrollment is open on 12/1/23

  • Spaces are secured for the families when favorable admission decision is communicated and the admission fee is received.

  • All programs have rolling admissions, applications will continue to be evaluated until all spaces are filled.

For Preschool: 40-56% Mandarin Chinese, 22-30% Spanish, 22-30% English.

For Elementary: 65% Mandarin Chinese, 17.5% English, 17.5% Spanish.

*Spanish in Kindergarten is optional to keep the day shorter and allow time to focus on other subjects

RSI students excel in English because multiple languages also enhances the ability of English language learning.

You will see your child using the languages within 3-4 months and can carry on a simple conversation by the end of the year. Generally, it takes 3-4 years for a child to build the foundation for language proficiency.  Our students will achieve functional fluency by the end of  middle school and working fluency by the end high school in reading, writing, listening and speaking of Chinese and Spanish.  At that time they will be qualified to earn the Global Seal of Biliteracy.

Elementary and up: 8:00 – 3:30 pm
Kindergarten: 8:30-3:00 pm
Preschool: 8:30-2:30 pm

In addition to a fence for the playground, our campus is monitored by surveillance cameras 24/7 and a security guard during school hours.

We credential with the Global Seal of Biliteracy.

The Global Seal of Biliteracy is an international credential that conveys proficiency with language skills in two or more languages for our students. This credential offers a competitive advantage for our students by helping them earn scholarships, higher pay, college credit, increased study abroad opportunities and so much more. The Global Seal is and will be FREE for all.
