Tis the season of giving!

Outside the Box – Christy Johnson

The Renascence School International has a tradition of students and teachers decorating Christmas trees for their classrooms. RSI is very thankful for all the parent volunteers who were a big part of the RSI global Christmas tree decorating. However, once school is out for the holidays, what happens to these trees? RSI gives them away to military families who may not have the resources or time to have a Christmas tree. They come by with a truck to pick up the trees and take pictures with RSI PTO leadership.

RSI also collected gifts for children in the foster care system through an organization called SPIN! Students were invited to pick a name and then put a gift tag on a Christmas tree. They then returned with a wrapped gift for that child. The true meaning of Christmas is sharing love and joy with the people around us!
