RSI students creating and sharing on Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day is always a very special day for RSI students. They had fun creating special holiday crafts, including bags or boxes for holding their cards and gifts, and special heart shaped crafts to work on their art skills. During English class, students look forward to sharing gifts and Valentine grams with their teachers and friends. Happy Chinese New Year from RSI!

恭喜发财! February 5th officially kicked off the new year on the lunar calendar. The Chinese New Year, also called the Spring Festival is the most important of all of the Chinese holidays and celebrations can last up to two weeks! Chinese New Year officially begins on February 5th, 2019, and ends on February 19th. 2019 is the Year of the Pig! Renascence School International students celebrated this very special holiday during their Chinese language classes on Tuesday, February 5th. RSI spreading holiday cheer from around the world!

The Renascence School International has a tradition of students and teachers decorating Christmas trees for their classroom. However, RSI decorates with a twist! Each class picks a country and decorates their tree in the theme of that country.The students also learn about the culture, history, customs and food of that country. Many of the countries are related to the family history of the students, and parents enjoy contributing to this festive class project. Read More

Celebrating the Chinese Moon Festival!

Renascence School International celebrated the Mid-Autumn Festival, also called the Chinese Moon Festival. This official holiday is a time of joy and happiness as many Chinese people gather with family and celebrate a time when the moon is at its fullest and brightest of the whole year. As part of the holiday tradition, the students made crafts in honor of this special Chinese holiday. RSI celebrated this special time of year during their Chinese classes last Monday. Students enjoyed making the traditional Chinese lanterns and learning all about the Chinese culture and ancient Chinese legends. Read More

Enriching the minds of our students in new and unique ways! The Renascence School enjoys giving the preschool students many hands-on activities which help them to stay engaged and become more focused on learning!
