Día de los Niños – A day to celebrate children!

Outside the Box – Christy Johnson

Día del Niños or Day of the Child has become an annual tradition throughout Latin America. RSI celebrated Día de los Niños during Spanish class as a part of a school-wide cultural celebration. During this holiday, children are celebrated for their curiosity and creativity.

Pre-k celebrated with an in-class carnival!  Students had so much fun at different activity stations where they played classroom adapted carnival games and left with many small prizes and big smiles.

Elementary teachers empowered kids by getting their hands dirty and creating slime from scratch! Students also enjoyed spending some time in the kitchen where they learned how to make “Tortilla” (a Spanish omelet). Read More
