The RSIOC Summer Camp has been a place where fun meets summer learning! Elementary age students were part of Toastmasters, where they learned the basic skills of public speaking. Students had the opportunity to stand up in front of an audience and practice what they had learned at camp.
All campers participated in etiquette courses and learned continental, European, and American table manners. They also learned about crisis management from a retired fire fighter. He taught them about how to respond in different emergency situations.
RSIOC Summer Camp engages in a multilingual education and the students learned many different songs and games in Chinese and Spanish while practicing their language skills. During academic workshop, students worked hard on advancing in a variety of classes including Chinese Math, Chinese Language Arts, English, and Spanish. Their work was customized to their academic level and personal needs.
Each session ended with a water-fun day! The theme for the water play was the Rio 2016 Summer Olympics!
