Last Friday RSIOC celebrated World Food and International Costume Day. The students had fun coming to school dressed in costumes from different countries. The students and families also brought in food from different cultures and also helped to prepare different ethnic foods and snacks to share with their friends. The children would explain to their class how to prepare the food and where in the world it originated.
Learning about different cultures is important for students as it helps to broaden their perspective of our increasingly global world.
