Outside the Box – Christy Johnson
We all know Cinco de Mayo as a Latin American springtime festival, full of food, music and dance. What the Renascence School International students have learned about Cinco de Mayo goes way beyond that into the history behind this big event. First and second grade students researched and did write-ups on Cinco de Mayo. They also stood up in front of the class and gave their presentations, all in Spanish, on what they had learned about this very special holiday.
