Outside the Box – Christy Johnson
The students at the Renascence School International in Orange County were very excited to take part in a Food Drive this holiday season. After donating their candies to Operation Gratitude over Halloween, the students learned the importance of community service. This project was another way for them to become involved in the community and experience the joy of giving. The school worked with Community Action Partnership of Orange County and Orange County Food Bank to collect food for those in need. Students brought in canned food, dried food, baby items and hygiene items. They were able to fill two big barrels full of goods for the poor. The L10 students also made a giant Christmas card for the workers of our community partners to put up in their warehouse.
