This year the RSIOC field trip was to Imaginology, a fun, interactive day for children at the OC Fairgrounds and it was a big hit with the kids! This field trip is a favorite of the older students as they broke off into small groups and explored STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) related exhibits. There were interactive murals as well as science experiments and engineering and technology exhibits.
The kids learned about reptiles and had fun carving soap, crafting art and clay, and playing with bubbles that they could form around their friends! Students were introduced to woodworking and they learned about classic cars, derby cars, and vintage fire engines. They even had a chance to learn the importance of CPR and to practice it. It was a day of creativity and fun learning about the past, present, and future of STEAM!
