Get Ready for the RSI Annual Costume Day!

Outside the Box – Christy Johnson

Monday, October 31st is Costume Day! This is an exciting time for students who enjoy the annual costume parade! Parade times are:
Elementary Students (L10+) – 8:30-9:00 am
Preschool Students – 9:00-9:30 am
Following the parades, classes will resume as usual.

Please keep in mind the RSI media guidelines, costume policy, and food policy:

Many families are understandably concerned about protecting the privacy of their student, especially in an on-line environment. At RSI, we maintain Student Media Permission on file and take these permissions into account for all special events. As we celebrate Costume Day, please remember that we cannot take or share photos or video of any students without explicit permission from parents.

Costume participation is voluntary but if you do choose to participate, we will adhere to these guidelines. These also give you an idea of our expectations for students:
-Be elementary school appropriate
-Be safe and comfortable to sit, walk, and move in
-No gruesome, gory or frightening costumes
-No weapons of any kind

Our food policy remains in effect on Costume Day. Any gifts or snacks brought for classmates should be given after classes are dismissed. This will help students focus for the duration of the school day.
