Outside the Box – Christy Johnson
The end of the year is a time when the excitement of the successful completion of the school year mix with the joy and anticipation of summer! RSIOC knows how to close out the school year with laughter and fun memories that will last for years to come. Before the day ended with a party that was sure to bring smiles to all of the children’s faces, the students showed off some of what they had learned during the year. They were singing songs and performing skits in Chinese, Spanish and English. It was so much fun to see the culmination of all their hard work.
A group of little dancers performed a beautiful dance routine to the tune of a famous Chinese song Jasmine Flower. They are the students of RSI teacher Ms. Lin who teaches after school Chinese Folk Dance. It was a joy for parents to see the students perform. Afterward, everyone was invited to a carnival complete with bouncer, game booths, jump house, petting zoo, face painting, balloon artist, photo booth and a delicious lunch.
RSIOC is very thankful for all the parent volunteers who made this a memorable school year. A very big thank you to Erikka Arone (Chairwoman of the Parent Committee) and Jessica Morales (Vice Chair of the Parent Committee) for all your hard work and dedication through out the year!
