Outside the Box – Christy Johnson
The Irvine Global Village festival took place this weekend and the Renascence School International students were there! The students took to the main stage at the event on Saturday performing in three different languages, Chinese, Spanish and English. Students dressed in traditional Chinese and Spanish clothing. With the guidance from their teachers, they learned songs and performed choreographed dances to the music. The children were a big hit in their brightly colored traditional clothes and did a wonderful job on stage in front of the crowds. The festival was a lot of fun and offered something for everyone. The Irvine Global Village is a multicultural event attracting huge crowds. Families had a great time and enjoyed the variety of countries represented at the event, which had international music, dance, food, and displays as a way of showcasing Irvine’s cultural diversity.
