The new RSI L2 preschool program

The Renascence School International is excited to offer a new program this year! This is a program for students who are 12 months – 24 months old (L2). The program follows a weekly lesson plan and organized activities which meet certain milestones and plan according to six different developmental domains (cogntive, gross motor skills, fine motor skills, language development, social development, and sensory development). All in a game of chess!

At the Renascence School International, students enjoyed academic chess class during the first quarter of the 2018/19 school year. This class occurred once or twice a week, teaching the fundamentals and strategies of the game. Celebrating Thanksgiving in the classroom!

Renascence School International students celebrated Thanksgiving during English class on Wednesday! In typical holiday fashion, students were treated to a Thanksgiving family feast and enjoyed plenty of holiday arts and crafts. Students reflected on what they are grateful for and the older students shared Thanksgiving stories with their class. Read More

A Mayflower Presentation

In preparation for Thanksgiving, RSI students enjoyed a presentation by the Mayflower Society. One of the RSI students is a direct descendent of the Mayflower voyagers and her grandmother is a member of the Mayflower Society. Dressed in period attire, the two presenters discussed the struggles, challenges, and victories of being part of the Mayflower voyage. The students enjoyed getting to look at model replicas of the Mayflower ship.
