When students are given the time and tools to explore and create with paint and clay or even crayons and markers, beautiful things happen! The students at the Renascence School International in Orange County are having fun exploring the fine arts during the enrichment class. The Renascence School International in Orange County, brought in a Child Life Specialist on Monday to teach the children about an illness that has touched the lives of one of the families in their school. The L10, C6 and C7 classes were invited to a presentation that included such topics as Lupus, chemotherapy, compassion and the difference between sympathy and empathy. Read More

We all know Cinco de Mayo as a Latin American springtime festival, full of food, music and dance. What the Renascence School International students have learned about Cinco de Mayo goes way beyond that into the history behind this big event. First and second grade students researched and did write-ups on Cinco de Mayo. They also stood up in front of the class and gave their presentations, all in Spanish, on what they had learned about this very special holiday. Read More
