RSI Tidy Backpack Contest

All parents want their children to grow up of strong mind and character. The Renascence School International uses a supplemental curriculum to help students develop specific character building traits. The Chinese teacher, Ms. Vanessa Wu is spearheading a character building project with elementary students that focuses on stewardship. Stewardship is the careful and responsible management of things that are entrusted to you. One way RSI practices this is by having a Tidy Backpack Contest between classes. RSI participates in the Orange County Chinese-American Chamber of Commerce Expo!

Thank you to the students and families who participated in the Orange County Chinese-American Chamber of Commerce Mini Expo last week. RSI administrator, Mrs. Carrie Mizera spoke about bilingual education and students helped to share information about the Renascence School International with others. Smiling faces at the RSI Egg Hunt!

Spring weather was a perfect backdrop for the fun activities that RSI had planned for the students last Friday. What could be more fun than an egg hunt at school? There were fun activities planned for all of the students. Preschool students created wreaths from tissue and died marble eggs with paint. Elementary students participated in a fun service project. They decorated bags and stuffed them with socks which will be donated to Share Our Selves. Read More

A Thriving Trilingual Spring at RSI

Spring is in the air and the Renascence School International is having fun decorating and getting kids into the spirit of all things Spring! The Renascence School International L3-L10 students spent the day at Inside the Outdoors on a field trip to learn more about the ecosystem. They had many adventures which were related to the story, The Tortoise and the Hare!
The children explored along a small hiking trail, felt different types of fur pelts, touched a tortoise, made a snack for the hare, and went on a scavenger hunt with tree seeds! Read More
