Renascence School International Celebrates Cinco De Mayo!

May 15, 2012

Outside the Box – Christy Johnson

Students at the Renascence School International celebrated the Mexican holiday Cinco De Mayo with a fiesta (party) theme!  This traditional holiday is a celebration of Mexican heritage and pride and we took this opportunity to teach the students more about the Spanish language and culture.  Class 6 students put their writing skills to work and wrote about different kinds of parties in Spanish and proudly posted their work on their classroom wall. After school on Friday, all of the students gathered to try their hands at the piñata. The youngest students got to go first and then the older ones used all their might to break it open. As expected all kinds of treats rained down on them and everyone enjoyed the celebration.

The Renascence School International is a Game Changer!

May 2, 2012

This school is a GAME CHANGER! It is evident that my son is destined to have a future in front of him that I could have never imagined. As a business man, I interact frequently with companies that are global. To survive in business today, most companies have to think on that broad scale. The world has become smaller with technology, and this school will enable my son to compete and shine on an academic level (math/science/writing/arts), a cultural level and a linguistics level. Every friend of mine in a multitude of business sectors ALL deal with foreign countries for sourcing materials to selling product. It is imperative we keep up with the rest of the world’s developed countries and this is the ONLY school I found that is setting up these kids with an experience unmatched.

Renascence School International Summer Program…Where Fun and Learning Collide!

April 30, 2012

Outside the Box – Christy Johnson

The end of the school year is now in sight and it is time to start planning for the summer! Would you like your child to be a part of a summer program that is fun-filled and engaging while at the same time teaching them Mandarin Chinese and Spanish?

The Renascence School International summer school is a unique program with award winning curricula that knows how to combine learning and having fun! This program is offered to children from 3 – 8 years of age. There are two sessions, July 9th – Aug. 3rd and Aug. 6th – Aug. 31st.

This summer why not have your child go ’40 Days Around the World’ with us and explore language and music from different cultures. Students will be playing musical instruments from around the world. They will be learning Mandarin Chinese and Spanish daily, and getting plenty of exercise while playing outside in Sports Camp.  Students will expand their minds in Bricks for Kids, which provides programs on Duplo, Motorized Building and Jr. Robotics!  The older students (age 5-8) will be learning English Literature which promotes a love for reading!

If your child needs help in preparation for the new school year the Summer Program also offers an Academic Workshop that is designed to fill skills gaps for current and new students. Students can participate in both sessions and switch from the regular program to the Academic Workshop and vice versa.

Easter egg hunting, egg and spoon, and jumping bean races all in a day at Renascence School!

April 9, 2012

Outside the Box – Christy Johnson

Happy Easter!!! Students at the Renascence School International OC and guests enjoyed a fun time on our grass field under the California sunshine. They engaged in egg relays, egg scramble games in Chinese, Spanish and English, and of course, had an Easter egg hunt. Many parents came to help out and take pictures of their children. The students all had baskets full of eggs. They were very courteous as they traded the goodies they found inside their eggs and made sure everyone had their share.

Students at RSIOC have fun while learning!

March 26, 2012

Have fun learning! This is what we do everyday at the Renascence School International, OC Campus. Our students recently learned about the classic story “The Borrowers” in class. The students then went on a field trip to attend a live theater performance of the story. They experienced President’s Day by making fun crafts with patriotic colors and had some outdoor time with lots of bubbles. At RSIOC children are getting hooked on science at a young age while discovering the concepts of lever, weight and inclination.  With hands-on experiments and lots of fun too, learning can come alive for students!

The Open House at RSIOC brings families and teachers together!

March 7, 2012

Outside the Box – Christy Johnson

Renascence School International had a full house on February 28th! Families, teachers, administration and students gathered together at the Open House to talk to one another about the school and it’s programs and to talk with interested families about enrollment for the 2012 / 2013 school year.

RSIOC families had the opportunity to tour their child’s classroom and discuss with the teachers about how their child is doing in school.  Also invited were prospective families that were there to learn more about the advanced academic and language immersion programs as well as enjoying a tour of the school. With the mingling of current and prospective families many parents were able to hear first hand experiences about the school and what it has done for their children.

The energy was incredible. We want to thank our teachers and staff for the wonderful job they did in making the Open House a big success!

A school with a lot to offer!

March 6, 2012

We have 2 children that attend this school and we are AMAZED at how much Spanish and Chinese our children are learning. It is awesome to hear them speak it and see my oldest get so excited when she can read some characters off of a Chinese food menu.

Our 1st grader excelling in her reading, english, and math, which is such a blessing to us as her former school told us that she was just an average kid, but not anymore. The classes are small and intimate and the teachers strive to get the very best out of each student. We are in constant interaction with the directors and receiving endless feedback/updates from the teachers on how our children are doing – which is fantastic.

If you are looking for an outstanding school with advanced learning/academics, language immersion, and OUTSTANDING teachers, than pick this school!!! The best decision we ever made for our children.
